Global Service Resources is looking for an experienced Optometrist to work on a Correctional Treatment Facility in Corcoran, CA!
Job Title: Optometrist Location: Corcoran, CA 93212 Schedule: 7:00 AM-5:00 PM (Friday to Tuesday)
*OPT need 2 days every week, week days only. (Full-time, part-time or 1 day a week) Contract duration: 28 weeks Payrate: $64.10/hour
Requirements:
At least 12 continuous months of relevant optometry experience within the last 3 years in a public or private setting (excluding internships).
Active California Psychiatric Technician Must hold a current and valid California Board of Optometry license.
Must be proficient in spoken and written English and able to communicate effectively with CDCR/CCHCS staff.
Job Duties include:
Conduct eye exams (full or partial), including visual acuity, tonometry, ophthalmoscopy, and refraction.
Diagnose and treat common eye conditions such as allergies, infections, and inflammations using approved medications.
Issue prescriptions and perform minor repairs (e.g., lens insertion, frame adjustments).
Provide diabetic eye exams, create treatment plans, and coordinate with healthcare staff.
Refer patients to specialists when necessary and provide emergency ocular care during clinic hours.
Ensure timely, scheduled service delivery and follow-ups as needed.
