Global Service Resources is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant for Kern Valley State Prison in Delano, CA.
Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Delano, CA 93216
Hours: 7:00 am - 5:00 pmÂ
Contract: 19 weeks
Pay rate: $24/hour
Requirements:
-12 months of relevant experience in the last 3 years (internship not included).
-Current Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved agency.
-Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC).
-Proficient in English, both oral and written.
Responsibilities:Â
-Under the supervision of a Physician or Podiatrist, the Medical Assistant will provide clinical and administrative support, including but not limited to:
-Administering injections, medications, and basic life support.
-Performing procedures such as blood draws, vital sign measurements, and specimen collection.
-Assisting with medical exams, patient preparation, and documentation.
-Ensuring patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
-Supporting the clinic’s daily operations, including inventory and scheduling.
Copies of personal documents and references will be collected. Must pass drug test and background check. Must have recent shots, immunizations, TB Test, etc...
