Global Service Resources, Inc., a leading Healthcare staffing company has an opening for a Phlebotomist at Los Angeles General Medical Center located in Los Angeles, CA. This is a full-time position. Must have at least 1+ year of experience as Phlebotomist in a hospital setting.
Schedule:
AM Shift - (4am-12:30pm) Must be available to work 40 hrs a week including every Fri, Sat, Sun
PM Shift - Mondays - Fridays (12:30pm - 9pm)
Payrate: $22-$35/hr
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have at least 1 year experience as a Phlebotomist in a hospital setting.
Must have a valid Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT-1) coming from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID19 vaccine
JOB DUTIES:
Collect blood samples from patients
Practice proper patient identification, especially when working on hospital floors
Label vials with patient names and dates
Decipher the best method for drawing blood depending on the specific patient
Transport all specimen samples to a nearby laboratory
Centrifuge blood samples, depending on if this is allowed in the state you are working in expect to work with a large number of patients varying in age and health status
Be friendly, courteous and sympathetic when it comes to working with patients
Keep your phlebotomy cart or station well-organized at all times
Practice infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment
