Global Service Resources is looking for 4-5 experienced Physical Therapists for a contract with LA County's Department of Public Health.

Pay Rate: $56 to $64/hr on W2.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8AM to 5PM
The positions will be located across LA County at designated Medical Therapy Units (MTUs), which are located at LAUSD school sites. There are 23 MTUs, of which you will be assigned to 5 to 6 (You will visit 1 MTU each day).
Hours per week: 40
Contract: 6 months with a very high chance of extension or permanent hire

Requirements:
-Must be a state-paneled therapist
-BLS
-Must have pediatric experience
-Must have experience
-Must be able to work in the US and pass background/drug check.

A. Patient Care

1. Assessment
a.) Performs evaluations based on clinical findings and agency guidelines.
b.) Makes appropriate recommendations and referrals per assessment findings.

2. Treatment
a.) Determines functional goals and develops treatment plan.
b.) Uses treatment approaches appropriate to the patient’s needs.
c.) Evaluates the effectiveness of treatment approach indicated.
d.) Identifies and monitors patients’ equipment needs.
e.) Fabricates splints and adaptive equipment.
f.) Consults with care/service providers regarding patient’s therapy status.
g.) Provides instruction to care providers regarding therapy-related equipment and treatment program

3. Documentation
a.) Completes required agency documentation including running notes; therapy assessments and plans; classroom, home and other therapy-related programs.


B. Case Management

1. Provides input to the clinic team and participates in the coordination of related services for assigned patients.
2. Performs procedures to support patient care including equipment/service authorizations and follow-up.
3. Administration
Performs delegated unit administrative duties.

E-Verify check will be conducted, and the successful candidate must pass the E-Verify check.

Please note: No paid time off, but you will receive 5 paid sick days after 90 days of employment.
