TITLE: Server Systems Administrator 735
LOCATION: Alhambra, CA 91803
HOURS PER WEEK: 40hrs
ASSIGNMENT TYPE: Temporary (12months w/ high chance of extension or a possibility of direct hire with LA County)
TARGET START DATE: 07/08/25
PAYRATE: $65-$70/hour W2
DESCRIPTION
Advanced knowledge of MS Active Directory and ability to create and modify MS Active Directory and o365 accounts.
Ability to administer and troubleshoot CrowdStirke AV systems.
Ability to mitigate zero-day security issues on Windows and Linux servers Knowledge of DHCP functions, including ability to create, modify and troubleshoot DNS entries.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve MS o365 email and Outlook 2016 client problems.
Knowledge of Cohesity and Veritas NetBackUp backup systems, and ability to perform backup and recovery operations in them.
Intermediate knowledge of PowerShell scripting and ability to write PS scripts to automate common server operations jobs.
Ability to use formulas (VLOOKUP as example), and other more advanced functions in MS Excel.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum (5) years' experience supporting Microsoft (MS) o365 tools (Exchange, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
Minimum (5) years’ experience supporting MS Active Directory and associated domain controller systems (DNS, DHCP, GPO).
Minimum of (3) years’ experience administering and/or supporting the following: - CrowdStrike - Hyena - CoreView - ControlUp - Azure Entra (formerly AD) - MS Active Directory
This classification requires the possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
California Resident Candidates Only. Work is expected to be done initially onsite. Possibility for remote work part time.
Interviews in person; may consider virtual, depending on candidate location. Work schedule is M-Thurs 7:15am-6pm (10 hours) at Public Works HQ in Alhambra, CA 91803.
