Job Title: CSOC Security Engineer 863 Location: Downey, CA 90242 (Remote) Shift: 2:00 AM - 11:00 AM Assignment type: Temporary (12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire) Pay rate: $60-$65/hour
Responsibilities:
Lead security engineering for complex, product-based systems
Bridge security across development and operations teams
Perform audits, risk analysis, vulnerability testing, and code reviews
Develop solutions to mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities
Research and identify new cyber attack vectors
Promote secure system design and user data privacy
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in security engineering & vulnerability mitigation
Strong background in protecting sensitive data from cyber threats
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with white-hat hacking and core computer science concepts
Willing to work graveyard shift and weekends
Additional Skills and Experience:
SecureWorks alert triage (2+ years, recent)
CrowdStrike alert/event triage (2+ years, recent)
Elastic security alert triage (2+ years, recent)
Cribl administration/operations (1+ year, recent)
Microsoft Defender (or similar) for phishing & high-risk user investigations (1+ year)
