Must have and maintain a valid Registered Dietitian credential from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in California.
Must be proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing) for effective communication with staff and patients.
Responsibilities:
Assess and manage patients' nutritional needs, including diabetics, renal, hypertensive, HIV-positive, and acute/chronic illnesses.
Plan and implement dietary strategies and interventions.
Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and participate in related committees
Conduct nutrition assessments within 72 hours of physician orders and provide nutritional counseling.
Oversee dietary programs in SNF, CTC, and/or Licensed Hospital to ensure compliance with California regulations.
Train staff on medical diets, food safety, and infection control.
Prepare monthly written reports on dietary services.
Ensure compliance with safety, security, and institutional policies at all times.
