Job Description


Global Service Resources is looking for a contractor in Los Angeles.

Job Title: Information Security Specialist 934
Location: Norwalk, CA 90650 - Hybrid
Assignment type: Temporary - 12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire
Pay rate: $60-$65/hour

Description:
  • Deploy, manage, and support endpoint security platforms and applications.
  • Handle endpoint security deployments from planning and installation through optimization and support.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and implement endpoint security solutions across various environments.
  • Use native and third-party tools for remote and physical software deployment.
  • Develop deployment scripts, processes, and status reports.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on security deployments and integrations.
  • Support vulnerability and asset management using security applications.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of CVEs, remediation, vulnerability management, and software deployment.
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac environments.
  • Familiarity with OpenVAS, Nessus, Burp Suite, Qualys, Tenable, and Rapid7.
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, Perl, Bash, or Batch.
  • Experience with deployment tools such as SCCM, Group Policy, McAfee EPO, BigFix, Puppet, Chef, Citrix, PDQ, PsExec, or CrowdStrike.
  • Strong computer/network security, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • 4+ years of IT deployment or end-user/customer environment experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering required.
  • CISSP/equivalent, CompTIA Security+, or CEH certification required.
Additional Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience with:
    • Containerized environments and Red Hat OpenShift
    • RHEL, RHCOS, and SELinux
    • FIPS 140-2/140-3 and NIST SP 800-171
    • SIEM, SYSLOG, and log aggregation tools
    • NFS and CIFS file sharing
    • Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tools such as Carbon Black
    • fapolicyd, executable whitelisting, and full-disk encryption
