Global Service Resources is looking for an experienced Pharmacist to work in Sacramento, CA!
Job title: Pharmacist Location: Sacramento, CA 95828 Shifts available:
12:30 PM - 9:00 PM (Wednesday - Friday) and 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Saturday - Sunday)
3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (Wednesday - Sunday)
Payrate: $52-$57/hour
Responsibilities:
Work under the Pharmacist-in-Charge or CEO/CME within scope of practice.
Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and completeness.
Check prescriptions against patient profiles for proper drug use and interactions.
Ensure formulary compliance and process non-formulary requests when needed.
Prepare, compound, and dispense medications.
Perform computer order entry and label typing.
Fill prescriptions and prepare/check IV admixtures.
Provide consultations to medical staff and participate in discharge counseling.
Maintain records of drugs, narcotics, poisons, and chemicals per Federal/State law.
Maintain inventory of drugs received, on hand, and dispensed.
Implement/maintain medication delivery systems per CDCR P&T directives.
Assist with drug requisition estimates as required.
Monitor and instruct Pharmacy Technicians.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Licensing Requirements:
Must have a current and valid CA Board of Pharmacy license.
Vendor must provide and maintain updated copies of all required licenses/certifications in the system.
Renewed licenses/certifications must be submitted 30 days before expiration; non-compliance may result in withheld payment and termination.
Vendor must verify licenses have no adverse actions; CDCR/CCHCS may also verify license status.
Qualifications:
Must be proficient in English (spoken, written, and comprehension).
