Job Title: Senior Data Engineer 824 Location: Los Angeles, CA 90012 Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Assignment type: Temporary (12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire) Pay rate: $80-$85/hour
Responsibilities:
Expert in Azure ecosystem: Data Factory, Data Lake, Blob Storage, Power Apps, Functions
Experienced with API management (Apigee)
Proficient in Big Data tools: Databricks, Spark, PySpark, Scala, SQL
Skilled in ETL/ELT, data pipelines, modeling, schema design, and data warehousing
Strong Python/SQL; Scala or R a plus
BI & warehousing: ERD, OLAP/OLTP, performance tuning, Power BI/Tableau
Knowledge of data governance, security, RBAC/ABAC, lineage, compliance, monitoring
Qualifications:
7 yrs Enterprise Architecture experience; 5 yrs in lead roles
5 yrs hands-on with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, APIs, and Azure resources
5 yrs experience:
Developing data models/pipelines in Python
Lakehouse platforms
GitHub CI/CD and Terraform automation
BI tool integration with OLAP/OLTP systems
Bachelor’s in IT or Engineering
