Job Description

Global Service Resources is looking for a contractor in Los Angeles.

Job Title: Senior SQL and Power BI Developer 892
Location: Downey, CA 90242 (Remote)
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Assignment type: Temporary (12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire)
Pay rate: $45-$50hour

Description:
  • Lead design, development, testing, and support of complex IT applications.
  • Develop and optimize SQL databases and Power BI solutions.
  • Design system architecture, user interfaces, and data models.
  • Write, debug, test, and maintain application code.
  • Build and optimize ETL processes and data warehouses.
  • Collaborate with users to gather requirements and validate solutions.
  • Ensure application performance, security, and documentation.
  • Evaluate and implement new software and system technologies.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of programming and systems development experience.
  • 4+ years in a lead or senior technical role.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (experience may substitute).
  • Strong Power BI, SQL, and database development expertise.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 7+ years of programming and systems development experience.
  • 4+ years in a lead technical role.
  • 3+ years developing Power BI dashboards with DAX.
  • 3+ years with PL/SQL, T-SQL, and SQL optimization.
  • 3+ years with Oracle, SQL Server, and data warehousing.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and SSIS.
  • Strong SQL, ETL, data modeling, and performance tuning skills.
  • Knowledge of Python or Shell scripting.
  • Understanding of data security and governance.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field (experience may substitute).
